See how EO works

01 / Define

Start with the operation

Good staffing starts before the first resume.

We learn the role, shift, pay range, worksite, lifting, equipment, certifications, safety requirements and what success looks like on the floor.

  • Role and headcount
  • Shift and expected timeline
  • Worksite and safety details

02 / Match

Recruit and screen

Fit has more than one dimension.

EO reviews relevant experience, communication, availability, work eligibility, commute, certifications and the practical demands of the assignment.

  • Experience and required skills
  • Schedule and location fit
  • Assignment-specific screening

03 / Prepare

Make the assignment clear

Ready means informed, not just available.

Before an assignment begins, candidates need clear reporting instructions, schedule expectations, site rules, PPE information and the right contact path.

  • Reporting and schedule details
  • Site rules and PPE
  • Clear first-day expectations

04 / Support

Stay close to the work

The placement is the start of service.

We keep communication open with the client and worker, respond to attendance or fit concerns, and adjust when the operation changes.

05 / The EO signal

One operating standard

Different roles. One clear line of accountability.

Screening, matching, preparation and assignment support are connected parts of one service. The EO mark becomes the signal that carries the process forward.

06 / Six decades

Our Toronto beginning

Toronto, 1961: the beginning of Employers Overload.

Employers Overload’s Toronto story began in 1961, serving office and industrial temporary-help needs. Early records show a practical focus on warehouse, material-handling and business operations, the same kind of work that supported Toronto’s growing economy.

07 / Still moving

History connected to the present

The tools changed. The responsibility did not.

Across the decades, workplaces, technology and hiring expectations changed. EO’s responsibility remained clear: understand the job, connect capable people with the opportunity and continue supporting both sides after the assignment begins.

Ahmed Talash, Managing Partner at Employers Overload

Leadership

Ahmed Talash

Managing Partner

Ahmed’s history with Employers Overload started on assignment as a temporary labourer. That experience gave him a firsthand understanding of what it is like to enter a new workplace, learn the operation and be expected to do the job well. He later joined EO’s internal team as a Recruiter.

Earlier in his recruiting career, Ahmed regularly visited client facilities and at times worked alongside their teams to understand what the jobs actually required, how each operation worked and what managers expected. He later became Recruitment Manager, then Operations Manager, and is now a Managing Partner. His experience across temporary work, recruitment and operations, combined with his practical approach to staffing, helps him better understand each client’s needs and guide EO toward stronger staffing decisions and more suitable placements.

What does the operation need?

A new client request begins with discovery, commercial terms and a clear role brief. Sending this form starts that process; it does not promise an immediate placement.

EO will review your request and contact you to discuss the role, worksite, timing and service terms.

Candidate intake

Put your work preferences in the right context.

EO will review your information against suitable opportunities. Submitting information does not guarantee an assignment.

Your information and resume will be submitted directly to EO for review. A submission does not guarantee an assignment.

Common questions

Clear before commitment.

What happens after a new employer contacts EO?

We discuss the business, worksite, role, safety requirements, pay and bill structure, expected timeline and service terms before recruiting or placement is confirmed.

How quickly can EO provide workers?

Timing depends on the role, number of workers, shift, location, screening requirements and candidate availability. Existing client requests can often be reviewed faster because terms and worksite information may already be on file.

How are temporary staffing rates set?

The bill rate is built from the agreed worker pay rate and the assignment's statutory costs, insurance, administration, recruiting effort, service requirements and risk. EO confirms pricing after the role and site are understood.

Does EO recruit outside the GTA?

EO's temporary staffing focus is the Greater Toronto Area. Direct recruiting can be considered more broadly when the role and search make sense for both parties.
